The MIT Postdoctoral Association<\/a> is open to all members of the extended MIT community. It\u00a0is an informal postdoctoral researcher-led forum for the postdocs at the Institute to:<\/span><\/p>\n
\n
- Meet and exchange information concerning postdoctoral welfare<\/span><\/li>\n
- Generate awareness about local and national policy issues that impact the science and welfare of postdocs<\/span><\/li>\n
- Organize events, seminars, and courses to aid career development<\/span><\/li>\n
- Organize events that contribute to the Department of Biology and the local scientific community<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The MIT Postdoctoral Association (PDA) is structured according to the guidelines of the National Postdoctoral Association<\/a> (NPA)\u00a0<\/span>and is supported by the Office of the Vice President of Research (VPR).<\/span>
